The real message of Christmas is, “Let us worship.” That is what the shepherds and wise men came to do. And that is what we should be doing as well.
Twelve Words of Christmas
The inventor, Reginald Fessenden, is recognized as the ‘Father of Radio’, the first to actually transmit the sound of the human voice without wires. On Christmas Eve, December 24th 1906, 110 years ago, he played O Holy Night on his violin and then came the first words ever spoken on the radio: - The 12 words of Christmas (Luke 2:14) “Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace, good will toward mankind.”
He then concluded the broadcast by wishing his listeners a Merry Christmas.
Imagine hearing a human voice from far away in the silence of that night. What an experience! An even greater experience was seen and heard by those lowly shepherds more than 2000 years ago, when these same words were sung out to the shepherds by a host of angels.
You too can experience hearing God’s voice this Christmas, if you tune in to Him. His words of peace and goodwill are to all who believe in Him.
My prayer is that you will have a Happy & Holy Christmas.
